Aspiring to learn photo compositing can start by finding simple cases to mimic and learn from. Building on the shoulders of predecessors allows us to avoid many detours.
This time, I mimicked the work of Indonesian PS master rafyA, who has many composite video cases on YouTube, and related resources are easily downloadable in China. I chose one of his numerous videos for imitation practice.
Initially, watching rafyA’s operation videos seemed straightforward, but in practice, it felt clumsy, requiring repeated video viewing. During the process, I realized my skills were indeed lacking, and there were some minor issues with the final composite effect. Here’s a digression: don’t look down on imitation, everything we have is learned, and the essence of learning is imitation. We should first imitate and then create.
The composite video, materials, and the PSD files I practiced have all been uploaded.
